Yeah things have definitely gone crazy out there. We knew that tablet computers were heading into commodity product land, but boy we didn’t realize quite how fast things were moving. Of course the commodity products come with their own share of cheap tacky risk, but at this sort of price who really cares?

The ICOO D70G1 7 Inch Dual SIM Android Tablet comes with the usual type specs, and all the plastic you can eat, but it’s only $28.30 retail. Want me to repeat that? $28.30 (yes Brits, that’s £17.51). And what’s more it features dual GSM SIM connectivity. You know, so you can actually do things like make calls and message etc while out and about.

This is quite simply an idea born of genius. Sure we’d all love to have super fast 3G/4G tablets with smooth lines and fancy badges, but sometimes a decent GSM connection is all you need for most of your roaming demands. And at this price it’s just a steal.

OK OK, you’re intrigued now and you want to know the specs? Well, will a dual core, 1.2Ghz, 2 megapixel camera, microSD slot (max 32GB), speaker and mic, 3000mAh battery, GSM 850 900 1800 1900 MHz, WiFi and 4GB internal storage. And did we mention it’s under $30?
