Kawasaki J Vehicle – Tron’s ride breaks out of the Grid and into real life

Kawasaki J Vehicle

The motorcycle of the future is just a little bit closer to present day, thanks to the sweet concept ride that recently made an appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show.

More than a car; more than a motorcycle. The Kawasaki J Vehicle is the type of street machine you’d expect to see Tron racing on the Grid, or maybe you might be lucky enough to catch a peek at it on the evening news as Batman tears through the streets of Gotham City in pursuit of the Joker.

Instead, the J was at a flashy car show, available for everybody to see and drool over.

Powered by Kawasaki’s biggest onboard battery pack, the Gigacell, the motorcycle is capable of operating with all wheels together (as pictured) or in comfort mode, where the front wheels split apart to create a three-wheeled vehicle.

Will the concept become reality? Chances are we won’t be seeing this beauty in the neighbor’s driveway any time soon but at least we can admire the pretty pictures until someone puts something similar on the market.
