Rube Works: The Official Rube Goldberg Invention Game

Are you the type of person that can take a simple job that only takes about five minutes to complete and transform it into a project that takes up to an hour to achieve the same result? Enjoy puzzles that make you look at everyday objects in a brand-new way? There’s a game made just for you.

Never heard of Rube Goldberg? Slap yourself right now and Google that name. Watch a few of the videos that show up. I’ll wait. Okay, now that you’ve been properly educated in information that really won’t help you in any other area of your life, you’re ready for Rube Works: The Official Rube Goldberg Invention Game.

If you think you’re up for the challenge of using a circular saw to cut a turkey or a jack-in-the-box to help pour a glass of juice, you obviously have a little Rube Goldberg in you, and even if you don’t, you’ll give that gray matter between your ears a serious work-out with this creative puzzle-solving game.

Currently, the game has 9 levels of cranium-stretching fun, with more levels expected to be added at a later date. Also, it’s only available for the iPhone and iPad right now, but Unity Games promises that it will be available on other platforms soon.

Grab the game for $2.99 and see how creative you can be.

  • Marty, thank you for the great review! I wanted to let you and your readers know that today we updated the game to include an additional 9 levels (for free), for 18 in all! Even better, Rube Works is on sale at $0.99 (normally $2.99) for the holidays, through the end of 2013! So if you already own it, get the free update for 9 more levels. If you don’t own it, now is the time to download it!

    • Thanks for the update David. :)
