Does anybody else besides us want a robot that can balance on two wheels, carry its own weight, play Follow the Leader, and even be a dance partner? Go ahead and raise your hand. You know you want one.
MiP is the cool little robot with the funny name, capable of performing a wide variety of actions that include responding to how you interact with him.
We’re not sure exactly what MiP might do if you get cranky with him, but it shouldn’t be too bad since he’s not equipped with lasers so you should be reasonably safe.
In addition to the immersive personality that allows the robot to act accordingly to how you treat it, MiP is also packed with sensors that allow for a wide range of interactive fun. The robot can be controlled by hand gestures, an iOS or Android smartphone, or you can just switch the little fella to auto and he’ll putter around and do his own thing.
The unique dual wheel technology allows MiP to balance using the same tech that’s used in Segway’s, and his balancing act is so good that he can even carry his own weight.
MiP won’t be available until May but the robot can be pre-ordered now for £99.95/$167.34. In the meantime, you can see the balancing robot in action by visiting Gadget Show Live @ The NEC Birmingham, April 9th – 13th.
