Honest Android Games – find free and full commercial games minus the in-game purchase scams [Freeware]

There’s definitely a bit of a backlash going on with the current game biz sly move to in-game purchasing as part of the business model. In case you didn’t realize it, most ‘free’ games coming out of the major games developers are now charging significant amounts of money for items and updates inside the game. The result is the game suddenly becomes very much NOT free.

The problem is it ruins the whole game for most people, because you get annoying nag screens, delays in moving through levels and gameplay and much more, all of it to earn extra money out of the sucker player. It adds nothing to the entertainment value of the title.

Anyway some enterprising folk have decided to do something about it, which is why Honest Android Games now exists. The site only features free and upfront single fee games, each one of which has been tested out to make sure it plays fair. The idea is to provide a nicely vetted service which people can rely on without having to watch out for fake reviews or whatever.

Each title gets its own page, along with screengrabs to show it’s kosher, and it’s all laid out in a nice friendly format. So if you’re on the lookout for fun games like this, pop along and take a look, there’s a decent collection of games offered up, so there should be something you’ll enjoy.
