Progress Bars Of Life – cool event monitor helps you keep track of stuff in your life quickly and easily [Freeware]

We all have stuff we need to remember, even if it’s only the wife’s birthday or your parole officer’s vacation dates. But most times the only way to reliably do this is either to laboriously enter the data into a calendar or scribble a note for your wallet and hope you don’t forget. Now there’s another option.

Progress Bars Of Life is a neat free program for Windows which gives you the chance to set up multiple permanently displayed countdown graphs, which track anything you need to track. Out of the box the program comes with six already set up as demos, and if you hit the edit button you’ll be able to spend a happy hour or three customizing the bits out of the app, so it meets your approval.

You can also of course edit and set new bars, and give them notification events like making a sound when the time is reached. In fact the level of detail you can set for this tiny program is ridiculous, so if you’re a picky user, this will be right up your street. The bottom line though, is this is a great little tool, and if you’re one of those with a fading or poor memory, and you spend lots of time in front of your computer, you’ll love this.

It’s like a cross between an alarm app and a calendar. Love it!

  • It would be quite depressing to see the “My Lifespan” each day. No thanks!! haha

    • Heh, chicken. :)

    • Can’t say I’m fond of the idea myself. I’ll get this but I’m not making that a bar.

Unless I can make it never end so I can be immortal.

    • Heh, know what you mean. :)

    • Put in static HP though. I’m a huge video gamer.

    • With a few Level Ups?

    • Damn, I didn’t think about level. I’ll be sure to put in experience as well.

  • When the counter hits zero you get a visit from the Monty Python organ harvesters.
Just enter a target date about 200 years in the future. :-)
