Wireless Muscle Mouse – exercise while you work without moving a muscle

You don’t get weirder than Japan sometimes, especially when it comes to producing totally logical products which are just crazy. Well this new idea may not be crazy, and it definitely is logical, but we’re still not sure whether it’s serious or not.

The Wireless Muscle Mouse combines a standard wireless computer mouse with an electrical muscle stimulation system (aka EMS), rather like those old Slendertone products that used to be on TV all the time. The idea is you attach the two pads to your body, wherever you need to ‘tone up’, and start mousing on your computer as usual.

The thing comes with a 148cm long cable, and you can set the pulses over 10 different strength settings, from weak up to ‘ripped abs in 10 minutes’ mode (aka 11). There are also six different pulse modes and the device will switch off automatically after 15 minutes, presumably to stop any permanent damage happening to your poor little body.

The thought of surfing Wikipedia while your pecs twitch uncontrollably fills us with a sort of strange glee, but we’ll try and restrain it long enough to say that the price of this marvel of modern tech will cost you $59.80.
