Yeah we know it’s THAT day, but we’re refusing to play. Instead we’re going to offer up a lovely little site which definitely should be a foolish endeavor but actually is totally real, and in fact rather cute.
Google Naps is a map mashup which gives you the ability to locate – and/or add – suitable places for a snooze around the world. These locations can be as simple as a field or park bench, or as exotic as a bed (which implies some sort of dwelling).
What makes it particular appealing is the fact that you can easily add in your own suggestions and save them to the map for all to find. Just click the spot and give the reason why it’s a great place for a nap. As you might expect lots of people have taken advantage of the chance, and although there’s a bunch of benches sitting out in the oceans (har har), there are also some real nice places, like this one in a square in Porto, Portugal.
We need more silly apps like this, which feed the soul.
