New energy saving woodstove captures and uses heat for water

Infire fireplace

Winter is still very present in many parts of the world, though there are signs that spring is coming. But a good woodstove is still an important device for heating and improvements are always welcome. Bodart & Gonay, a Belgian fireplace manufacturer, has come up with a great improvement on its Infire 680 woodstove insert. Its innovative boiler technology recovers convection heat and uses it for hot water.

Combined together, this new innovative system not only heats your home, it also heats the water in your home’s heating system. That results in real fuel savings, energy efficiency and lower heating bills, something we all appreciate in the wintertime. And, according to the company, the system is easy to install with their connection kit.

This energy saving heat-water system is available both throughout the EU and in the US. Nice to know we Yanks aren’t left out in the cold!
