Foldable Me – create your very own cute cardboard buddy

If you’ve ever had the urge to create your own Mini-me, or even produce a tiny avatar of your favorite person in the whole wide world, and were put off by the costs of 3D printing, we may have a cute solution for you. And it won’t cost very much at all.

A Foldable Me is a tiny card person you create online, and which then gets sent flat packed by post to anyone in the world. You can make a 3D card avatar of yourself and ship it to your loved one, or you can craft a clone of your BFF to cement your friendship. You could even make a ‘special‘ one and send it to your boss. Your choice.

The making process is very simple, just add the features and clothing you require on the simple maker page, which should take all of 10 minutes. We found the trickiest part was working out the hair. Once that’s done pop the little person into the basket, pay and you’re done. The Foldable arrives ready to assemble, and takes just a few minutes to complete. Presto, instant friend.

We’d love to see a version which let you somehow upload your own choice of face image, but that’s probably a technology step too far. For now though, it’s a cute and reasonably priced way to send a nice gift to someone easily. Priced at $11.99 each including free delivery.
