Cybersky

Cybertelly, CyberSky and Byte-Tornado. Watch this one folks, it could be fascinating. At the moment distribution of the beta software has been stopped due to a temporary injunction issued by a German court on 7th Jan this year. [Thanks James!]

  • Cybertelly. P2P television using a small (220kb) downloaded client. CyberTelly is a new technology of broadcasting TV, an Alternative to Cable-TV or Satellite-TV. Instead sending satellites into space or laying a cable into household, we use the internet for signal transmission.
  • Cybersky. P2P broadcasting using the same tech. What is Cybersky-TV? The anonymous and uncontrolled (uncensored) version of Cybertelly. So please read the FAQ of Cybertelly first. The interface and the client differs.
  • Byte-Tornado. The P2P engine behind the whole shebang. What emule does with files (share), BT does with realtime AV-Streams. You don`t search for files, you search for channels. You don`t download, you receive streams. At the end of the day it is somewhere all the same, even when some guys arrange their emule-videos to a new TV-Channel. It is similar to bittorrent but much more faster: 400-600 kbit/s, thus sufficient to deliver realtime-TV !!

  • Speed on BitTorrent is a function of bandwidth; it can get up to a few MB/second too…

  • Hmm..but they’re promising consistent streaming throughput at high speed…?
