Skinny audio rockz.

Apparently this new AACPlus audio format (aka High Efficiency AAC) sounds really really good at very low streaming bitrates (we’re talking CD quality at 48kbps, i.e. dialup Internet speeds).

Non-believer? Then do what the Ferret did and download the latest Winamp version with AAC Plus support and listen to Tuner2. They’re right, it’s really very nice. Hmm..downloading this Winamp plug-in for your existing installation might do the trick too. Neat!

  • I think phones should use this format for their music players. Can you imagine – encoding your files at 48kbps and still getting CD quality, all on your sexy Sony Ericsson? How shweet would that be?
