Apparently this new AACPlus audio format (aka High Efficiency AAC) sounds really really good at very low streaming bitrates (we’re talking CD quality at 48kbps, i.e. dialup Internet speeds).
Non-believer? Then do what the Ferret did and download the latest Winamp version with AAC Plus support and listen to Tuner2. They’re right, it’s really very nice. Hmm..downloading this Winamp plug-in for your existing installation might do the trick too. Neat!
I think phones should use this format for their music players. Can you imagine – encoding your files at 48kbps and still getting CD quality, all on your sexy Sony Ericsson? How shweet would that be?
