Plague The Network – the social app that treats information like a virus

Have you ever posted something in the hopes that it would get a million views and shares on social networking? If you’ve ever yearned to get on the front page of Imugr, then Plague The Network is the app for you, it brings a whole new meaning to “going viral”.

Plague is almost like a social network. Its purpose is to spread information, any information, to the masses. To that end, it has taken the idea of going viral literally. Plague doesn’t operate through use of networks and friends list. There’s no common interests or boards. Instead, whatever you put up is automatically sent to the closest Plague users who are then “infected” with your information. From there they can decide that it’s worth sharing or kill it on the spot.

Since the network is everyone and there are no front pages to speak of, everyone’s uploads have equal chance of going viral. Whether it’s an adorable picture of a puppy or a hard hitting news story, all information is treated the same. In Plague, all things are equal, just like a real plague. The app is free through both the App Store and Google Play.
