Cigarette Box Phone Jammer – fed up with people jabbering on their cell phones? Now you can do something about it.

Hands up anyone who’s been in a movie theater and had someone talking on their phone during the main feature? Or have you ever been stuck in a crowded bus or train and had to endure what seemed like hours of non-stop phone chatter about stupid stuff? Well now you can fight back quickly and easily.

This Cigarette Box Phone Jammer is a five channel GSM and 3G phone jammer which is conveniently tucked inside a very innocuous looking cigarette carton. We’re not sure how pleased the owners of the trade mark will be to have their product used in this way, but what the heck, this is business right?

It runs for around 2 to 3 hours per charge, and can jam any phone within a 6 meter range, which should ensure that your peace is kept nice and quiet. So next time you’re about to go insane listening to a phone bore drone on and on, just hit the switch and settle back with a smug smile on your face. You can pick the jammer up for $40.99.

  • As tempting as this may be, I am pretty certain it is illegal in the US.

    • Yes. I think you’re right. :)

    • Illegal here in Canada as well.

“The importation, manufacturing, distribution, offering for sale, sale, possession and use of radiocommunication jamming devices in Canada are prohibited under sections 4, 9 and 10 of the Radiocommunication Act.
A conviction under the Radiocommunication Act carries a fine of up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment not exceeding one year (individual) or a fine of up to $25,000 (corporation), as well as forfeiture of the radio apparatus and possibly an injunction to refrain from activity related to the offence.”

It would probably cost a bit less if instead you grab the annoying person’s phone and throw it on a wall :-)
      Maybe.

  • Can I have one that will cut out the sound of ‘personal’ hifi headphones at 5 paces ….

    • Those are called earmuffs. :)

  • Yes, they’re illegal in the US. Are these legal in the UK or elsewhere?

    • It’s probably only legal in all those countries where we don’t live. :)

  • Riiight… and in a movie theatre, you pull out a pack of cigarettes. That won’t seem odd to anyone.
