Question: When is a USB cable not a USB cable? Answer: When it’s a WiFi router hotspot. You’ve got to love tech sometimes, especially when unpredictable things happen. The linked page wasn’t altogether clear on how this was accomplished but found the same product on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/E-More%C2%AE-Hotspot-Moblie-Routing-Adapter/dp/B00O7LAZZS). Seems to me that the main computer must be hard-wired connected (ethernet). The 2-1 cable then turns the ethernet connected device into a wireless hotspot. As an fyi, there are a number of software solutions to this.
When first reading this, I thought that a wirelessly connected device could use that very same connection to become a hotspot. I don’t think we have a solution for that (not sure though).
