A favour.

Quick favour to ask regular Ferrety readers. How’s the performance of the site? Is it loading OK or slow? Any times you’re finding it unobtainable? Comment here or email, whatever. It’ll help me heaps to get a feel for what, if anything, needs doing. Cheers and bears.

  • Seems to run great for me. Great site and I read it every day. One suggestion would be to include complete description and pictures on atom/rss feed. Keep up the good work.

  • Your site is running smoothly and great! Way better than the engadget site http://www.engadget.com!

  • Works perfectly/as usual here (Netherlands) (T1, XP, Firefox)

  • No problems whatsoever ( daily visits through interesting items in RSS feed ).
    DSL, Mac OS X 10.3.8, Safari 1.2.4
    Location : the Netherlands

  • No problems here and never noticed any.
    Daily visitor. Location UK

  • Site loads fine. And TRFJ remains a favorite place to go. Hey, how’s Em?

  • 8 second load time here on Curacao. Not too bad!

  • Feel a bit of a spoilsport…
Love the site, visit each day – but I find the load is very slow. I have the same problem with my work PC (LAN, T1, IExplorer etc) and with my home laptop (Broadband, 802g wireless IE and/or Firefox).

Still, worth the wait most days. (except I find the “Filed under…” headlines a bore.

Cheers from sunny Jordan – where it is raining (again)

  • Loads fine for me each morning at approx. 0830 EST — of course it’s tab 4 in a cluster of 12 “morning reading” tabs, so maybe it takes 10 minutes to load and I just don’t notice :) (Ed: humour. I would notice. It doesn’t take 10 minutes.) Keep up the good work!

  • I first check out the posts through my online aggregator (Feed On Feeds), so I don’t notice the speed (update about 15 blogs). When I then click to the site, it seems to load lickety-split enough.

  • Got no problems at all here in chicago, ever since it started working again in Safari.

  • Can’t live without checking your site everyday – lol! j/k but it is really good. Loads up well here in Sequim, Washington and i’ve had zero problems with it. Stellar job!

  • So far so good…no problems whatsoever.
    Excellent Site!

  • Whoa, thanks folks, that’s sounding rather positive, what? :-) Nice to have such nice readers, eh? :-)

  • …oh and Emily? Em is awesome. Awesomer each day in fact. :-) I’ll send ya a pic! :-)

  • Now I feel as though I just [email protected] in church on something. The site is fine, the loading is fine – when I know what to expect there is no problem.

Just tell me, how much do you pay these people…

  • Your sites fine just stop speaking in 3rd person….its damned annoying..

  • I get page unavailable errors sometimes. In fact I got one just. Hitting reload gets the page back in most cases (after a delay). On the odd occasion I’ve had to come back in an hour or so. It all started for me when you changed service providers a few months ago.

    Rob.

  • The site works lovely.
Never a problem, and contrary to the other opinions, I find the 3rd person perspective a nifty distinction from other tech sites.

  • loads just fine!

  • I love the blog, but it will not display properly in Firefox 1.01 on my desktop Dell machine in my cubicle. I get the left hand part of the page,, with the links, etc., and the photo of the phone at the top, but nothing else. BTW it works fine on Firefox on my home machine.I have to fire up Internet Exploiter to view the blog at work. HTH

  • Site’s been loading right as rain for me. (Firefox 1.0.)
