Telephone Clock – retro upcycled clock makes you question your life

Telephone clock

There’s something about having a clock in the house. Like an actual clock, not a digital read out. The Telephone Clock upcycles an old rotary phone into a cool clock for your home or office.

This clock uses old rotary telephones as a base. You know the kind that you had to dial all the way around to get a nine? The kind that if you still have one you have to wait on hold for an operator for most call centers. The phone puts a clock face into the center of the rotary dial and viola! Old phone become new clock.

It’s almost artistic, like a thought piece on how much time we spend on the phone, making appointments, waiting on hold, etc. It’s deep. It’s also something that you can likely make on your own. If you can find a rotary telephone. The clock parts can be picked up from any craft store. But if you’re not inclined to pick up another DIY project, the Telephone Clock can be snatched up in it’s finished form for $122.20.
