So you thought the age of instant photo printing died along with the Polaroid name, did you? Hah! Over there in Japan it still lives, and what’s more it seems to be even flourishing in some bizarre way. Which is very cool. Maybe it’s the idea that you can deliver your keepsake of the moment to your friends and family without having to email or ‘share’ or whatever. Here you go, here’s a print out. Clean, fast. Immediate.
The Fujifilm Instax 210 delivers a print out in 20 seconds or so. OK, so it’s not a huge print, just 3 inches or so by 2 inches, but the camera at least features some nice bits. Like automatic exposure control, built in flash, that sort of thing.
The camera holds 20 shots per film cartridge, and you use an optical viewfinder, which means no more squinting in bright sunlight. It runs on four AA batteries, and comes with a snap on close up lens and a selfie wrist strap. Joy! Priced at $149.95.
