Have you ever seen the perfect shade of a color? Just the right blue or green that you wanted to replicate for your own project? Only when you got back from the real world to your workspace, you couldn’t quite copy it. The SwatchMate Cube captures real world color and lets you use it in the digital world.
You place the Cube on top of the color you’re attempting to capture be it a wall, leaf, or the reddest apple you’ve ever seen. It converts that color into a format that the digital world can understand. Meaning a RGB, CMYK, or HEX value so that you can use them in your digital work. To make matters easier, the device works automatically with Photoshop.
SwatchMate Cube works with mobile devices but it is only compatible with Apple devices at this time. It does work with Photoshop but only if you’re using Windows. You can share your captured colors with other coworkers if you’re working on a larger design project. It charges via USB. The SwatchMate Cube is $179.95.
