Mycestro – the wearable air mouse for your finger

As those with painful RSI symptoms know, using a mouse extensively with your computer can end up being very uncomfortable. But the problem is there are not many choices around which can help you avoid the pain of repeated mousing. You can use a stylus or maybe a special adapted vertical mouse, but they’re not always suitable for general applications.

The Mycestro is another option you can try, which comes in the form of a finger mounted air mouse. We tried a standard finger mounted mouse a few years back, when we started suffering from painful mousing digits, and it actually seemed to work quite well. They do take some getting used to though, and you’ll need to be right handed to use it in anger.

However if you’re already used to an air mouse, then this should be right up your street. It comes with three buttons on-board, and you should get around 8 hours of continuous use out of a 2.5 hour charge of the internal battery. It runs via Bluetooth, which also makes it a good option for the living room TV computer box, although you may find it tedious to enter in text if you do a lot of 10 foot browsing.

The only real downside appears to be the price, which at $149.99 is really rather intimidating.
