Glia – the app that makes it easier to vote with your wallet [FREEWARE]

People are increasingly “voting with their wallets” which is to say that they’re not shopping at stores that have beliefs that are contrary to their own. With all the information out there it is hard to really keep up on who supports what. Glia is an app that points out what shops and business match up with your morals.

The app lets you fill out a profile with social and political beliefs. If making sure that what you purchase is fair trade then that is something you would note, for example. The reverse is also true. When you input all your info, the app will let you know which businesses in your area align with what you believe and which ones do not.

This isn’t to say that you have to boycott anyone. Some issues just won’t be affected whether you shop there or not. Some issues are huge however. The app just gives the information and it’s up to the consumer to decide what they want to do with it. After all, no one wants to find out their socks really just support slave labor. Glia is a free app for iPhones.
