Fonkraft project pulled, but that’s not the really scary part …

So we were the first people to ask some serious questions about this new crowdfunded project on April 30th, and one day later Indiegogo pulls it. Despite some previously loving coverage by the mainstream tech press. Wow guys, what on earth were you all thinking?

Our only worried follow-up is this. Doesn’t ANYONE look at this kind of stuff with a critical eye any more? Is the whole online tech community so obsessed with reporting the news faster than anyone else, that all judgment flies straight out of the window when there’s a bit of glitter? It really looks like that’s the case nowadays, which quite frankly is very scary.
