Grass Slippers – so cool, so fake

Look, we admit it. We would really really love to own a pair of grass slippers. Real ones of course. Cool, soft, slightly damp and with the smell of fresh earth. How awesome would they be as daily footwear? But while we’re waiting for that day to arrive, we’ll put up with this product instead.

These Grass Slippers (or Flip-flops if that’s your thing) are made out of some baseline plastic stuff, made to look perfectly like artificial grass. We’re fooled. We think it’s the little brown tufts, which are made to resemble the dead dried bits, which do the job.

Whatever the reason, now we’ve seen these, we’re aching for the real thing. Don’t you dare call us hippies, we’re just tree-huggers. Anyhoo, this dainty pair of covers for the royal feet are available from Amazon India for a mere 499 Rupees (that’s around $7 to you and me).
