What do you get if you cross a golf cart with a skateboard? Yep, you’ve got it. An electric putter. No hold on. What you actually get is a fun way to annoy the heck out of all the other players on your course, as you scuttle around carving and whooping from hole to hole.

The GolfBoard is an electric transporter which moves you from hole to hole in effortless style. Well maybe not style. But effortless, certainly. The rig is motivated by a conventional electric motor and Lithium battery combo, which is good for between 7 and 14 mph and with a range of at least 18 holes. As long as it’s nowhere near St Andrews we assume.

We’re not exactly sure what happens if you run out of battery juice out on the 15th, do you have to lug the whole thing back to the clubhouse for a re-charge mid-game? Or do you just leave it there as a new hazard? Whatever the logistics, we’ve got to say that it looks a whole heap of fun. In fact it looks like a lot more fun than trying to hit that stupid little ball into a stupidly small hole.

The slight drawback is the $6,500 purchase price, although you can lease, and it looks like a fair number of courses are including them as standard equipment for their members. Carve on, dude.
