Realistic T-Rex Dinosaur – bring a little Jurassic World to your lawn

Realistic T-rex Dinosaur head shot

Jurassic World is coming out next month reminding us all how much we would love pet dinosaurs. We haven’t mastered cloning to the point of bringing extinct animals back from the nether yet but you can get your own life size robotic one. The Realistic T-Rex Dinosaur is up for sale.

This isn’t some cute scale model that you can put on your desk. You have to have a yard or at least a huge living room to house this thing. It is quite large. Lucky for everyone involved, it can’t really go stomping through the suburbs but it does have some movements.

It has an actuator “heart” (not capable of love) and runs on stepper motors and pneumatic cylinders powering what is an animatronic system. It can track movement, following you as you pass through its field of vision. That’ll scare the neighbors. It can withstand a wide range of temperatures and comes with a three year warranty. It’s cheaper than housing and feeding a real T-Rex would likely be but it’s still pretty pricy. The Realistic T-Rex Dinosaur is $30000.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
