IO Hawk Intelligent Personal Mobility Device – better than walking?

IO Hawk

It’s 2015, why are we still walking? I mean, it’s the future! Walking is so yesterday. If there was only a device that would allow us to just glide from place to place. The IO Hawk is the answers to your prayers, a personal mobility device that will let you glide over a moderate distance.

The IO Hawk is a board between two wheels. This isn’t made for tricks so much as it’s designed to get you from place to place. It can reach speeds of 6.2 miles per hour and if fully charged, can be ridden for up to 12 miles. So two hours of play time there kids at top speeds and continuous use. Of course, it takes three hours to charge fully.

The device is pretty easy to learn, taking only five minutes to get the hang of and is operated by just shifting your weight. This product would probably be fun for about ten minutes but really, you could probably get to wherever you were going by walking. Or a skateboard, a bike, your car. Anything else. The IO Hawk is $1,349.99.
