Going to work is lame. Sometimes you just don’t want to because it’s too hot, or too cold, and anyway, the bed is just right. So send in your robot double. That sounds like science fiction but the Double Telepresence Robot lets you send a stand in for you to handle your face time work duties.

Before you get your hopes up, this isn’t a full service non-evil T-1000 for you to utilize on your sick days. That would be great but science isn’t there yet. Instead, this is an iPad on a Segway that you can remotely control from anywhere that isn’t your office. Which means that this can’t handle your email but it can attend a meeting for you.

Obviously, in order to utilize this, you’ll have to be able to do most of your work remotely as the only thing this does is give you the power to roll around the office and “attend” meetings. Which you could also do with a normal iPad and a stand. But I guess you can’t catch your employees slacking off if you’re the boss. The Double Telepresence Robot is $2,897 for an entire kit.
