Print What You Like – stop wasting paper printing out advertisements

PrintWhatYouLike

If you’ve spent any time on the internet chances are you’ve found something that you would like to print out and have in hard copy. Most websites that cater to such traffic, like recipe sites, generally provide printer friendly versions of their information. For the sites that don’t there’s Print What You Like, the website that lets you print only what you want.

If you just hit print on the webpage, you get everything. The sidebars, the ads, the pictures, everything that’s on the page. Sometimes you don’t need all that. You just want the article or instructions for your use. This website lets you edit out all of the clutter so that you can print only the parts that you need.

This is a fairly easy website to use. Just drop in the URL for the page you want to print and select the parts of it you want to print. It’s a bit easier to do than copy and pasting into Word. With just a few clicks, your page can be edited up and ready to print. Print What You Like is a free website.

  • Unfortunately, not all web sites are printer friendly and some have many advertisements on them. So this website helps.

  • Brilliant idea. One of those “why didn’t someone think of this ages ago” things.

    • I know! When I think of all the ink and paper I’ve wasted. . .

  • Try this brilliant Add-on for your browser – no 3rd party website needed: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-edit/

    • Nice solution for home computers, FYI, it’s available for Chrome too. :)
