Decorating a new space is hard and it becomes even more of a challenge if you want your spot to look unique. If you don’t have hours to spend crawling through furniture stores and not enough funds to hire a designer, there’s an app for that. Tylko is the app that lets you customize a piece of furniture and see what it will look like in your home without stepping foot in a store.

This a really functional use of the Augmented Reality technology. This company uses it to show you what a piece of furniture would look like in your home. It uses a context card to help get proper measurements. Once you have this, you enter into Context View on the app and you will be able to test out furniture in your space.

The furniture itself is customizable. You can choose colors, designs, size and for some items, even materials they come in. With this you can skip that trip to IKEA (unless you’re jonesing for some meatballs). Unfortunately, this is only available in Germany, Austria, and Poland at this time but hopefully they’ll expand this cool shopping experience soon!
