Polymagnets – a magnet revolution

Polymagnet in use

Magnets are one of the most fun things you can play with in science without potentially killing yourself, usually. The problem with magnets is that if all you have is magnets to mess with, the fun fades fast. They pretty much have two settings, hold or GET AWAY FROM ME! Polymagnets are magnets that you let you diversify your magnet experience.

These magnets come with a variety of different types that let you change how they interact with each other to, hopefully, build a better product (whatever you’re deciding to build). They’re sort of like a magnet LEGO set that gives you the basics and lets you combine them as you see fit.

Called “Smart Magnets” they come in ten different types with ten different functionalities. Each one is unique allowing you to do simple things like hold together or more complex task such as spring like functions. So if you’re looking to work add a bit more functionality with your use of magnets, check out Polymagnets, pieces start at $1.60.
