3D pens, totally cool. Drawing in the air? Amazing! Not cool though, hot parts, at least not if you’re a child. You will burn yourself or your parent’s house down. The 3Doodler Start is the perfect pen for little fingers as it has no hot parts.

It is made to fit into smaller hands. It uses a special bioplastic which comes out warm (not hot) and hardens quickly letting them create in real time, right in the air in front of them. There is no software, you just push the button and start drawing.

You can use it either wired to power or wirelessly where you can draw for up to one hour before it needs a recharge. It charges via micro-USB and takes about two hours to reach full battery. The filaments come in a variety of different colors, a handful of which are included in the box set along with an idea book but there are also free resources available online.
