Dacuda – stop taking pictures of things you want to save, scan them instead

Dacuda in use

There is a wealth of media out in the world that isn’t online and is slowly deteriorating as time goes by. The big historical stuff is being saved but no one is making sure your great grandma’s diary from the WWI is going to be there for future generations. If you want to start your own archival quest, the Dacuda is the wireless scanner that fits in your pocket.

This handy device is a scanner that you can take with your everywhere. It charges via USB and allows you to scan a multitude of media be it old photos and documents or just a grocery list you wrote five minutes ago. It can be used to scan small notecards all the way up to large scale books.

It creates high resolution scans and are sent over Bluetooth to your device. Once uploaded, you can access them in other programs to edit them freely. The scanner also acts as a text translator as scanned text can be translated to whatever language you like. The Dacuda is $149.95.
