Autism Aid – the app created to spread Autism awareness

Autism Aid App

Most people are aware of Autism but they may not be really sure of what that means or how to help. One app developer in Ghana saw that there was a need for more education in that area and decided to fill the gap in with an app. The Autism Aid App is an app designed to help children and parents better understand Autism and find resources in their area.

This app is for Ghana, specifically, but we’ve decided to highlight it because it’s a great innovation that really helps people. It includes three parts, an SMS helpline that allow parents and guardians an easy way to contact services for help if needed. “Kid’s World”, which is a section to help parents work with their children to improve communication and social skills and finally Awareness that is chockfull of information about Autism for schools, doctors, and others that may need it.

This innovation may not seem like much but easy to access apps like this can go a long way to helping people understand more about these sorts of things like autism and with better understanding comes a more accessible world. Autism Aid is free in the Play store.
