Pens are the superior writing instrument in almost every way. Their lines are darker, therefore more legible, they allow for more color variation, can be used for longer stretches of time and generally look more elegant. There are erasable pens on the market (and they have been for some time) but the ink quality isn’t so great nor is the erasing for that matter. This gadget uses special heat sensitive ink that disappears when you hold it under a bit of warmth, also provided by the pen.

This project is an all in one system. The heating element and pen are one. The heating element is charged via USB while the ink is refillable via cartridges. This project is being funded through Kickstarter so it won’t be a great choice in stocking stuffers for the year but they are expected to ship in June if the project is funded.
