Gmail Tip – block senders to keep your inbox neat

laptop-with-gmail

One of my goals is INBOX ZERO for the new year (or as close as I can get). What would really help is if I wasn’t getting emails from a slew of places that I unsubscribed from. Or if I could get the messages to stop from places where it was more than just a button click. With Gmail you can just block emails you don’t want to get anymore.

This is really useful because you’re not marking the message as spam (even though that’s where it ends up) but it still won’t find its way into your inbox, cluttering up your folders. This is also super handy for people that you just don’t want to be able to contact you ever again and they’re just not taking no for an answer.

The block sender option is in the drop down menu next to the reply button on desktop and in the three dot menu next to reply on mobile. Stop getting mail you don’t want, block it.
