Febo – make art with the power of the sun

febo-in-use

Wood burning a great way to make art or personalize wooden pieces. There are lots of tools you can buy that can help you learn the practice or you can skip all that, go outside and harness the power of the sun. Febo is solar powered (hehe) wood burner that you can use to make, well anything you want.

This isn’t a new system. Kids have been setting fire to things with magnifying glasses since they became easily accessible to children. Febo takes that same system (minus the torture of ants) and applies it to a tool for art. Just go outside on a clear day and catch the light with this. Give it a few moments and you’ll be painting with heat in no time.

febo-alone

Unlike a magnifying glass, this tool sits on your “canvas” so you can keep a steady line. It comes in a variety wood finishes and some stencils to get you started. Febo starts at $44.
