LEGO BOOST Bricks – get into robotics with an old favorite.

Lego is a much-loved toy but kids and adults, worldwide. Now they’re getting into robotics game with BOOST Bricks, the Legos that help you build your own devices for all your playing needs.

The system works with a tablet app and will walk young (or old) tinkerers through the steps to build four different projects. There’s a robot who looks like Johnny 5 and makes my nerd heart all nostalgic, a guitar, an electro-cat, and the “Auto-builder” which is just a production line for building other Lego miniatures. You use the app to code your creations with an easy drop and drag system.

This is a huge kit with over 840 included Lego pieces and parts. All parts can be mixed and matched to create your own projects outside of what the kits provide as well as customization for the kits themselves. Lego is all about being creative so don’t be constrained by what comes in the box. Be the masterbuilder that Emmet knows you can be. The Lego BOOST Bricks will be released in August.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
