It’s time to wave goodbye to an operating system and if you’re one of the few people affected by this, I’m sorry. Mostly for the fact that in 2017 you’re still using Windows Vista. If you’re are, then FYI, Microsoft is cutting support as of April 11, 2017.
Vista was probably the most useless OS that Microsoft put out. Well, to be honest, ME was pretty garbage too. Anyway, the follow up to the much-loved XP turned out to be nothing but trouble for anyone who was saddled with it. Which was mostly just people who bought a computer the year it came out. Complaints about the product ranged from errors to just it being unfinished. Although Microsoft sent patches to fix the product, the damage was done and Vista remains one of the most hated OS that the company has ever put out.
You can still use Vista, if you want, but it won’t get any security updates or patches going forward. If you’re running it as an OS, the system is probably very old and it’s likely time to upgrade to a newer model. It’s ok, change is not always a bad thing.
