LugLoc Tracker – find your luggage anywhere

They’re making smart suitcases that have built in tracking but to be honest, they’re expensive and your current suitcase probably has a few more miles left on it. With the LugLoc Tracker you can add some GPS functionality to your plain old bag.

This is nice because uses cellular networks instead of just Bluetooth to keep track of your belongings. There’s a sim card in the devices so it can be tracked from wherever. Which is really handy if your luggage is stolen and not just misplaced in a city you didn’t fly to by the airport.

The device turns itself off while in flight so as not to interfere with the plane’s systems and comes back on when you land.  The downside to this device is that it comes with service plans fees. For someone just planning a small vacation, you can pay for a single month but for people who travel often throughout the year, it might be worth spending the money for the full year. Plans start at $4.99 but the device is $69.99.
