Mozak – help brain science by tracing

It’s Friday and if you’re bored, here’s another chance to help science by gaming. Mozak is the game where you help map out tricky neurons to make them easy to map all with your mouse.

This is a fun and simple game. You are presented with a photo and you just need to trace the legs of the brain cell that you are presented with. That’s it. You can use your mouse to trace and if you make a mistake, there are ways to delete or erase. Super simple and relaxing

The only downside to this game is that it takes a bit of time to load. Some of photos are high resolution and the system that they use is a bit resource heavy. You also need to create an account to do any tracing beyond the tutorial level. Taking the time to do so really helps this project so it’s worth it. Humans are able to map the neurons faster and more accurately than computers so your time really does matter. Mozak is totally free.
