Cowbell cohorts.

Digitalcowbell

The Rad Monkey VLC800 Digital Cowbell. OK, so things are definitely getting a bit weird now. Vintage cowbells? Dedicated R&D? What are these guys drinking? I mean it’s got an LCD on it for Pete’s sake! [Thanks Andy]

The Rad Monkey VLC800 may be the last cowbell you’ll ever buy. In addition to Rad Monkey’s well known cowbell amplification, onboard DSP also faithfully reproduces the sound of a dozen of the world’s most sought after vintage and modern cowbells. Thousands of hours of dedicated research and development have resulted in striking cowbell models with all the character and depth of the beloved originals.

[What? Hoax? No way! Way? Tshaw!]

  • Hello Jimmy.

  • This site is a hoax site, btw.

  • Aaargh, no really? Hah, should have guessed. It’s certainly a well done one though. Pah! :-)

  • We all want it to be true, but they’re really just trying to sell the t-shirts. Just try using their dealer locator for proof.

  • We all do. Hell, I downloaded samples from the darned thing, and started figuring out that it was a hoax when it appeared that the 8 different bells it simulates are really just three or four sounds.

It is a darned fine hoax, though. I hope they sell a lot of shirts. I sent it along to my favorite drum and tech crew gadget-hound buddies.
