So there are a lot of people out there who don’t drink water. Soda is the way to go, but it’s not healthy. But who know, The Right Cup might be the solution for you?

There are two simple ways to trick your mind into thinking you are drinking more than water: you trick the taste and the smell. This is what The Right Cup tries to do. It’s a normal plastic cup, but the Ring on the top has a twist to it. It’s tasty and smelly, which means you taste the coke or other beverage you are drinking on your lips and you can smell it.

Which would in other words mean that the water should taste like soda? Not completely. If you are aware that you’re drinking water, you will know it’s water, there’s no way around it. On the package it says ‘the more you drink it, the more you get used to the flavour’. I personally don’t think I will ever trick myself in believing I’m not drinking water when I know I am drinking water.

However, when you try it on people who are blindfolded you will notice that they doubt it’s water. They probably won’t immediately say it’s cola but they won’t tell it’s water. However, if you know it’s water, it won’t work. At least not for me.
