OK, so let me get this straight. Texas Instruments has just launched it’s new ultra low power micro-controller, the MSP430F20xx. So it’s a 16 bit, 16 MIPS unit with 128kB of RAM in a 4×4 mm – yes millimetre – footprint. 16 MIPS? Good grief, my desktop had a lower spec than that a few years ago.
Er, the spec sheet for this ultra low power microprocessor indicates 128 bytes of internal RAM, not 128 kB.
Hmm…now I’m not sure. According to this document (PDF), it can be configured with ‘up to 128kB’. I’ll check and post back. :-)
According to them what knows, it is indeed only 128 B. Mea culpa! Sorry. :-)
