Facebook Container – contain your Facebook on Firefox

Facebook is tracking all our data. We have known this for a long time but with the recent reports, people are much less cool with it. Mozilla has heard you and rolled out a new extension called Facebook Container to keep the popular social media site from seeing what you’re doing.

The extension keeps Facebook from collecting data while you’re on the internet. It’s not a perfect fix but it may give you more peace of mind while you’re out there, exploring the online world and scrolling through your timeline.

This extension will not work properly if you login to other sites with Facebook. They will have permissions through that way so it’s important to be aware of who you are giving permissions to. Logging in with FB is easy to do but considering the news lately, it may not be worth it. You need to use Firefox in order to access the extension.
