There’s a lot of yucky stuff in the air, we call it pollution. Generally speaking, it’s waste and not so great for us but that doesn’t mean that we can’t make use of it. Air-Ink is the black ink made from air pollution.

This ink is made from refined urban air pollution, specifically that which was made by cars. We all have to deal with that pollution if we live in the city and in some parts of the world, it’s particularly bad. The ink is put into a number of different market types and can be used just like any other fine art marker.

Despite being toxic in the air, it totally safe to use once it’s been made into ink. Although, I wouldn’t suggest doing something like eating it. This was a limited project and there doesn’t seem to be a way to purchase the ink now but perhaps in the future the company will release more. Check out the video below to learn more.
