FutureMe – send yourself an email

Everyone likes getting mail. Even if it’s just email. Most of our emails are flyers from business though because that’s just how things are in the future. Send yourself something nice with FutureMe, the website that lets you send an email to yourself.

This isn’t a reminder service. You can only send yourself an email a year or more into the future. Like a digital time capsule. Write yourself a letter to remind yourself of what an awesome time you’re having or maybe one to reflect on how much your life has changed in the year or more that has passed.

It’s an interesting use of technology that is considered very immediate. Chances are by the time the letter comes, you’ll have forgotten all about sending it so it really will be a surprise. Send your future self a message. The service is free. Check out the website for more information.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
