First Home Power Station – win for customers, win for the environment

Here’s some incentive to switching to solar: not only can you save money on your electric, you may be able to make some too. Social Energy is releasing their innovative home systems that allow users to sell their stored energy to their local market.

The solar power that homes gather is stored into a battery. For homes that are still connected to the local energy grid, they can use the Social Energy technology to trade that stored energy which results in cash for the home owner and more green energy for everyone else.

The hope is that the more people participate, the more traditional energy methods will be reduced pushing more sustainable options, even if not everyone can afford to go full solar. Plus users will see a decrease in their own bills which is always nice.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
