Utomik aims to deliver the first Netflix for games

Netflix is the most popular place to stream movies and TV shows, and it’s easy to see why. Because of this success, other companies have been attempting to follow suit. We’re looking at you Amazon Video.  But what about video games, can this medium find similar success where streaming is concerned?

A company known as Utomik is making some serious moves to create the first Netflix of games for PC gamers, and so far we’re quite impressed. As of the time of writing, the platform has over 900 games to choose from, along with a 14-day trial for those who are not too trusting.

In terms of pricing, Utomik has a single user plan that cost a cool $6.99 per month, and a four user plan at $9.99 per month. Those prices are pretty cheap when you take into consideration the vast amount of content available to gaming consumers. You can play any of the games on offer at any time. So if multi-gaming-mania is your bag, off you go.

Still, despite all the good things, Utomik has a long way to go before it can truly become the Netflix for games platform. You see, every game on the platform is available elsewhere, and that’s not good. The company needs to invest in exclusive titles to phase off competition, something Netflix has come to realize. But hey, small acorns and all that.
