This is a little bit more grizzly than we usually talk about, but it’s very important. Climate change is exposing bodies on Everest and as gory as that news is, it’s also really, really bad news. The exposure of the bodies is a grim reminder of the how desperate our environmental situation has become.

Over the years, many, many people have passed while attempting to scale the mountain. When they do, if they are past a certain point, their bodies remain on the mountain where they are covered in snow and ice and stay. With the warming air, parts are starting to come down with the melting snow as well as being uncovered.

This is something that should never happen and it signals a massive change in the climate that is having far reaching effects and how important it is to turn the tides on it.
