GAME REVIEW: Trine 2 (Nintendo Switch)

The visually stunning game Trine 2 is a must-buy for the Nintendo Switch, how’s that for an opener?

In Trine 2 you can play 3 different characters and swap throughout the game. You can play as a mage, someone who shoots arrows and has grappling hooks and a robust warrior. Each fighter has its own abilities and strengths you need to use to get to certain parts of the level.

Trine 2 is a side scrolling game with stunning visuals and amazing lighting. The background tracks and voice-acting is on-par with the visually stunning environment.

It will take you a big 10 hours to finish this game and it doesn’t get boring. There’s enough variation in the levels so you get new experiences each time you play. There are also a lot of hidden gems you can search for after you finished the game.

I’ve never played the first Trine game, so I can’t compare them. However I can say that this is a very immersive 2D puzzle platformer that hits all the right spots. Trine 2 is a must have to play handheld.
